Inchoate offense

Une infraction inéluctable, une infraction incohérente ou un crime incohérent est un crime de se préparer ou de chercher à commettre un autre crime. L'exemple le plus courant d'une infraction inactive est "tentative". L'expression «infraction incohérente» a été définie comme suit: «La conduite réputée criminelle sans que des dommages réels soient faits, pourvu que le préjudice qui aurait eu lieu soit celui que la loi tente de prévenir». An inchoate offense, inchoate offence, or inchoate crime is a crime of preparing for or seeking to commit another crime. The most common example of an inchoate offense is "attempt". "Inchoate offense" has been defined as: "Conduct deemed criminal without actual harm being done, provided that the harm that would have occurred is one the law tries to prevent."...
