Croissance irrégulière
La croissance irrégulière, parfois appelée croissance malthusienne, est un modèle de croissance au fil du temps, défini par des explosions de population et des collisions de population importantes, ou des décès. C'est une extension du modèle de croissance malthusienne, en particulier le modèle de croissance qui provoque une catastrophe malthusienne, et peut se produire lorsque les populations dépassent leur capacité de charge, un phénomène généralement associé aux stratèges. Les populations qui présentent une croissance irrégulière ne se stabilisent pas autour de leur capacité de charge, une caractéristique de la croissance logistique. La croissance irrécupérable se produit lorsqu'une espèce se reproduit plus rapidement que l'environnement est capable de supporter avec les ressources disponibles. La croissance irrégulière est étudiée dans l'écologie de la population.
