En physique, le multiplet peut signifier: ▪ Un groupe de lignes spectrales apparentées ▪ Un groupe de particules subatomiques apparentées L'exemple le plus connu est un multiplet de spin, qui est une représentation de groupe d'un sous-groupe SU de l'algèbre de Lorentz. Par exemple, un singulet spin est une représentation banale, un doublet spin est une représentation fondamentale et un triplet spin est une représentation vectorielle.
