Un paragraphe principal, ou lede, dans la littérature est le paragraphe d'ouverture d'un article, d'un essai, d'une nouvelle ou d'un chapitre de livre. Souvent appelé le responsable, il se produit généralement avec le titre ou le titre. Il précède le corps principal de l'article, et il donne au lecteur l'idée principale de l'histoire. Dans les deux orthographes, le mot rime avec le mot a besoin. Dans l'industrie du journalisme, en particulier aux États-Unis, le terme est «lede».
