Darter
Os darters ou snakebirds são principalmente aves aquáticas tropicais na família Anhingidae com um único gênero Anhinga. Existem quatro espécies vivas, três das quais são muito comuns e generalizadas enquanto a quarta é mais rara e classificada como quase ameaçada pela UICN. O termo "snakebird" geralmente é usado sem quaisquer adições para significar qualquer espécie de espécies completamente alopátricas em qualquer região.
