Confesional
Un confesional este un cabin mic, închis, folosit pentru sacramentul pedepsirii, adesea numit mărturisire sau reconciliere. Este locația obișnuită a sacramentului în Biserica Romano-Catolică, însă structuri similare sunt de asemenea folosite în bisericile anglicane de orientare anglo-catolică, dar și în biserica luterană. În Biserica Catolică, confesiunile trebuie să fie auzite doar într-un confesional sau oratoriu, cu excepția unui motiv justificat.
Definiția confessional în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a confesionalismului în dicționar este de tip asemănător sau potrivită unei confesiuni. O altă definiție a confesionalului este un mic stand, de obicei închis și împărțit de un ecran sau o perdea, unde un preot aude confesiuni. Confesionalul este, de asemenea, o carte de rugăciuni penitențiale.
