Integritatea este un concept al consecvenței acțiunilor, valorilor, metodelor, măsurilor, principiilor, așteptărilor și rezultatelor. Barbara Killinger oferă o definiție tradițională: Integritatea este o alegere personală, un angajament fără compromis și previzibil de a respecta valorile și principiile morale, etice, spirituale și artistice. În etică, integritatea este considerată de mulți oameni drept onestitate și veridicitatea sau exactitatea acțiunilor. Integritatea poate să stea în contradicție cu ipocrizia, judecând cu standardele de integritate implică consistența internă ca virtute și sugerează că părțile care dețin în ei înșiși valori conflictuale ar trebui să răspundă discrepanței sau să-și modifice credințele. Integritatea cuvântului a evoluat de la întregul adjectiv latin, adică întreg sau complet.
