Definiția norm în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a normei în dicționar este un nivel mediu de realizare sau de performanță, ca de un grup sau o persoană. O altă definiție a normei este un standard de realizare sau de comportament care este necesar, dorit sau desemnat ca fiind normal. Norma este de asemenea un standard stabilit de comportament împărtășit de membrii unui grup social la care se așteaptă ca fiecare membru să se conformeze.

People don't believe or understand that a community can lose hope. You can have a whole community where hopelessness is the norm, where folks don't have faith that things will get better because history and circumstances have proven over 30, 40, or 50 years that things don't get better.
When I was growing up, kids used to talk about snitching... It never extended as a cultural norm outside of the gangsters.
If you are building a culture where honest expectations are communicated and peer accountability is the norm, then the group will address poor performance and attitudes.
That's like making fun of a maniac because his brain isn't completely right, because he isn't in the norm.
