Sgraffito este o tehnică fie de decor de perete, fie prin aplicarea unor straturi de ipsos colorate în culori contrastante pe o suprafață umedă sau în ceramică, prin aplicarea pe două straturi succesive de alunecare contrastantă unui corp ceramic nefurnizat și apoi în ambele cazuri zgâriind astfel pentru a realiza un desen contur.
