Teorie
Teoria este un tip contemplativ și rațional de gândire abstractă sau generalizatoare sau rezultatele unei astfel de gândiri. În funcție de context, rezultatele ar putea include, de exemplu, explicații generalizate cu privire la modul în care funcționează natura. Cuvântul își are rădăcinile în greaca antică, dar în uz modern a preluat câteva semnificații diferite. O teorie nu este aceeași cu o ipoteză. O teorie oferă un cadru explicativ pentru o anumită observație, iar din ipotezele explicației urmează o serie de ipoteze posibile care pot fi testate pentru a oferi sprijin pentru teoria respectivă sau pentru a le provoca. Un grup modern de semnificații subliniază natura interpretativă, abstractizantă și generalizată a teoriei. De exemplu, în arte și filosofie, termenul "teoretic" poate fi folosit pentru a descrie idei și fenomene empirice care nu sunt ușor de măsurat. Rezumate teoretice.
