Viza de vacanță de lucru este un permis de ședere care permite călătorilor să se angajeze în țara care eliberează viza pentru a-și completa fondurile de călătorie. Pentru mulți tineri, deținerea unei vize de muncă de vacanță le permite să trăiască într-o țară străină, fără a suporta cheltuielile obișnuite costisitoare de a găsi sponsorizări de lucru în avans sau de a merge pe programe scumpe de schimb universitar.
