Pieptul este o parte anatomică a oamenilor și a animalelor. La ominide, inclusiv la oameni, pieptul este o parte a corpului gâtului și a abdomenului, incluzând organele interne și alte tipuri de conținut cum ar fi mușchii, arterele și venele, oasele etc. Alaptarea este în mare măsură protejată și susținută de coaste, coloanei vertebrale și oasele umărului.
