१. सहारा ।
आश्रय । अवलंबन । २. रस में एक विभाग जिसके अवलंब
से रस की उत्पत्ति होती है । जैसे,—(क) श्रृंगार रस में
नायक और नायीका, (ख) रौद्र रस में सत्रृ, (ग) हास्य रस
में विलक्षण रूप या शब्द, (घ) करूण रस में शोचनीय वस्तु
या व्यक्ति, (च) वीर रस में शत्रु या शत्रृ की प्रिय वस्तु, (छ)
भयानक रस में भयंकर रूप, (ज) वीभत्स रस में घृणित पदार्थ,
पीब, लोहू, मांस आदि (झ) अद्रभुत रस में अलौकिक वस्तु,
(ट) शांत रस में अनित्य वस्तु, (ठ) वात्सल्य रस में पुत्रादि ।
३. बौद्ध मत में किसी वस्तु का ध्यानजनित ज्ञान । यह छह
