costá (-t, át), vb. – A avea un preț, o valoare. – Var. costisi, custa, coșt(ăl)ui. Mr. custisire. It. costare. Nu apare în texte anterioare începutului sec. XIX, dar a ajuns repede să fie folosit curent datorită comerțului. Var. costisi (înv.) din ngr. ϰοστίζω; custa este rezultat al confuziei cu dubletul custa; și coștălui (Trans.) se explică prin mag. kostálni, din germ. kosten.Der. cost, s. n. (preț, cost, cheltuială), din it. costo. Var., din Trans. este dublet al lui cuștului, vb. (a gusta), de la același cuvînt mag.
