Culinary preparation of parallelepipedic or cylindrical shape (this also called balloon) made from a piece of meat (poultry, game, pig or calf), eggs and other ingredients, baked, then covered with aspic, served as sliced as cold anther . GALANTINĂ, galantine, s.f. Preparat culinar de formă paralelepipedică sau cilindrică (aceasta numită și balotină) realizat dintr-o compoziție de bucăți de carne (de pasăre, vânat, porc sau vițel), ouă și alte ingrediente, copt, apoi acoperit cu aspic, servit felii ca antreu rece.
