Hispaniola (espagnol: La Española, Français: Hispaniola, Créole d'Haïti: Ispanyola, Taíno: Ayiti) est la 22ème plus grande île au monde, située dans le groupe des îles Caraïbes, les Grandes Antilles. C'est la deuxième plus grande île des Caraïbes après Cuba, la dixième île la plus peuplée du monde et la plus populeuse des Amériques. L'île de 76 480 kilomètres carrés (29,530 pieds carrés) est divisée à peu près 64/36 entre deux pays souverains, la République dominicaine (48 445 kilomètres carrés (18 704 pieds carrés)) et Haïti (27 750 km 2). C'est le site des premières colonies européennes fondées par Christophe Colomb sur ses voyages en 1492 et 1493.
