La Plata
La Plata est la capitale de la province de Buenos Aires, en Argentine, et du parti de la Plata. Selon le recensement de 2001, a une population de 740 369 habitants et sa zone métropolitaine compte 894,253 habitants. La Plata a été planifiée et développée pour servir de capitale provinciale après la fédéralisation de la ville de Buenos Aires en 1880 et elle a été officiellement fondée par le gouverneur Dardo Rocha le 19 novembre 1882. Sa construction est entièrement documentée dans les photographies de Tomás Bradley Sutton. La Plata a été rebaptisée Eva Perón City entre 1952 et 1955. La ville abrite deux importantes équipes de football: Estudiantes de La Plata, qui jouent dans la première division, et Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, qui remonte à la première division.
