Xerox Corporation Ltd. / zɪərɒks / est une société multinationale de gestion de documents multinationale qui produit et vend une gamme d'imprimantes en couleur et noir et blanc, systèmes multifonctions, photocopieurs, presses de production numérique et services et fournitures de conseil connexes. Xerox a son siège social à Norwalk, dans le Connecticut, mais sa plus grande population d'employés est basée autour de Rochester, New York, dans la région où la société a été fondée. Ces caractéristiques ont été mal vues par le conseil d'administration de l'alors, qui a ordonné aux ingénieurs de Xerox de les partager avec les techniciens d'Apple. Les fonctionnalités ont été prises par Apple et, plus tard, par Microsoft. En partie grâce à ces caractéristiques, ces deux entreprises passeraient alors à duopoliser le monde de l'informatique personnelle.
