Dedicare
Dedicarea este actul consacrării unui altar, a unui templu, a unei biserici sau a unei alte clădiri sacre. Se referă, de asemenea, la inscripționarea cărților sau a altor artefacte atunci când acestea sunt adresate în mod specific sau prezentate unei anumite persoane. Această practică, care odată a fost folosită pentru a câștiga patronajul și sprijinul persoanei adresate astfel, este acum doar un semn de afecțiune sau de vedere.
