Individual
O persoană este o persoană sau un obiect specific. Individualitatea este starea sau calitatea de a fi un individ; în special de a fi o persoană separată de alte persoane și care posedă propriile nevoi sau scopuri. Definirea exactă a unui individ este importantă în domeniile biologiei, dreptului și filosofiei. Din secolul al XV-lea, un individ anterior a însemnat "indivizibil", descriind în mod tipic orice lucru singular numeric, dar uneori însemnând "o persoană".
