ETIMOLOGIA CUVÂNTULUI PERSON

Persoană
O persoană este o ființă, cum ar fi un om, care are anumite capacități sau atribute care constituie personalitate, care la rândul ei este definită diferit de diferiți autori în diferite discipline și de diferite culturi în timpuri și locuri diferite. În Roma antică, cuvântul persona sau prosopon se referea inițial la măștile purtate de actori pe scenă. Diferitele măști reprezentau diferitele "personae" în piesa de scenă. Conceptul actual de persoană a fost dezvoltat în timpul dezbaterilor trinitare și christologice din secolele IV și V, spre deosebire de cuvântul natură.
