Renunţare
Renunțarea este actul renunțării sau respingerii unui lucru ca fiind invalid, mai ales dacă este ceva pe care renunătorul la avut în trecut sau la susținut. În religie, renunțarea adesea indică o abandonare a căutării confortului material, în interesul realizării iluminării spirituale. În hinduism, ordinea renunțată a vieții este sannyāsa; în budism, cuvântul Pali pentru "renunțare" este nekkhamma, exprimând mai specific "renunțarea la lume și conducerea unei vieți sfinte" sau "libertatea de poftă, poftă și dorințe". Vedeți Sangha, Bhikshu, Bhikshuni, Shramana. Din punct de vedere legal, renunțarea apare în dreptul naționalității prin renunțarea la cetățenie, un proces formal prin care renunătorul încetează să dețină cetățenia cu o anumită țară.
