O cârpă de vânt sau o adăpost este o plantă formată, de regulă, din una sau mai multe rânduri de arbori sau arbuști plantați astfel încât să asigure adăpost de vânt și să protejeze solul împotriva eroziunii. Acestea sunt frecvent plantate în jurul marginilor câmpurilor din ferme. Dacă este proiectat corespunzător, vânturile în jurul unei locuințe pot reduce costurile de încălzire și răcire și pot economisi energie.
