playgirl
Playgirl is a monthly erotic and lifestyle magazine, showing men with naked torso or nude men. In 1973, at the height of the feminist movement, it was founded as a counterpart to erotic magazines for men. Although it is distributed as a magazine for heterosexual women, the readers of the magazine in 2003 were 30 to 50 percent homosexual men. In 2010 the magazine assumed that the readers were mainly male. In 2009 the print edition of the magazine was discontinued and Playgirl existed from then on only online. In February 2010, Playgirl was launched again and is again offered as a printed booklet. The German edition of the book was already discontinued in 2004. Unlike the Playboy, Playgirl could not convince many celebrities to take photos. In his first years the magazine could still win the most successful Hollywood actor.
