Hostess is a profession. A kind of receptionist for restaurants, bars, events, parties, discos or hotels. Born in the United States, the function has conquered the commercial and social market of the whole World. The hostess is responsible for providing customer service in the most correct way, always avoiding unforeseen circumstances. To be a good professional, the hostess needs to know the product or brand to promote and all sectors of the place where he works, in addition to having notions of etiquette and manners; ceremonial and protocol; coordination and reception of events; customer service; fashion; makeup, among others. It is the ideal way to reach out to the public by positively promoting what you want. One of the advantages of the career is that there are no age restrictions and you do not have to be a role model. More than beauty, it takes talent and experience to work with the public. And the profession is not exclusive to women. Not so much in the minority there are also many men with this profession. These are the hosts. Hostess é uma profissão. Uma espécie de recepcionista de restaurantes, bares, eventos, festas, discotecas ou hotéis. Nascida nos Estados Unidos, a função tem conquistado o mercado comercial e social de todo o Mundo. As hostess são responsáveis por dar atendimento ao cliente da forma mais correta possível, sempre evitando imprevistos. Para ser uma boa profissional, a hostess precisa conhecer o produto ou marca a promover e todos os sectores do local onde trabalha, além de ter noções de etiqueta e boas maneiras; cerimonial e protocolo; coordenação e recepção de eventos; atendimento ao cliente; moda; maquiagem, entre outros. É a forma ideal de contactar com o público promovendo positivamente o que deseja. Uma das vantagens da carreira é que não há restrições de idade e não precisa ser modelo para exercer a função. Mais do que beleza, é preciso talento e experiência para trabalhar com o público. E a profissão não é exclusiva para mulheres. Já não tanto em minoria também existem muitos homens com esta profissão. Estes são os "hosts".
