Gravitation

La gravitation ou la gravité est un phénomène naturel par lequel tous les corps physiques s'attirent. Il est le plus souvent reconnu et expérimenté comme agent qui donne du poids aux objets physiques et provoque l'abaissement des objets physiques vers le sol lorsqu'ils sont tombés d'une hauteur. L'hypothèse est que la force gravitationnelle est médiée par une particule spin-2 sans masse appelée graviton. La gravité est l'une des quatre forces fondamentales de la nature, avec l'électromagnétisme, et la force forte nucléaire et la force faible. De façon familière, la gravitation est une force d'attraction qui agit entre et sur tous les objets physiques avec de la matière ou de l'énergie. Dans la physique moderne, la gravitation est décrite plus précisément par la théorie générale de la relativité proposée par Einstein, qui affirme que le phénomène de gravitation est une conséquence de la courbure de l'espace-temps. Dans la poursuite d'une théorie de tout, la fusion de la relativité générale et de la mécanique quantique en une théorie plus générale de la gravité quantique est devenue une zone de recherche active.
