Jousting
Jousting est un jeu martial ou un hastilude entre deux cavaliers et l'utilisation de lances, souvent dans le cadre d'un tournoi. L'objectif principal est de frapper l'adversaire avec la lance en roulant vers lui à grande vitesse, si possible en cassant la lance sur le bouclier ou l'armure de l'adversaire, ou en l'ennuyant. Jousting a émergé dans le Haut Moyen Âge basé sur l'utilisation militaire de la lance par la cavalerie lourde. Il s'est transformé en sport spécialisé au cours du fin du Moyen Âge et est devenu populaire auprès de la noblesse en Angleterre et en Allemagne tout au long du XVIe siècle.
