Transpiration

La transpiration est la production de fluides sécrétés par les glandes sudoripares dans la peau des mammifères. Deux types de glandes sudoripares peuvent être trouvés chez les humains: les glandes ecrines et les glandes apocrines. Les glandes sudoripares écrines sont réparties sur une grande partie du corps. Chez l'homme, la transpiration est principalement un moyen de thermorégulation qui est obtenu par la sécrétion riche en eau des glandes écrines. Les taux de sueur maximum d'un adulte peuvent être jusqu'à 2-4 litres par heure ou 10-14 litres par jour, mais sont moins élevés chez les enfants avant la puberté. L'évaporation de la sueur de la surface de la peau a un effet de refroidissement dû au refroidissement par évaporation. Par conséquent, par temps chaud, ou lorsque les muscles de l'individu se réchauffent en raison de l'effort, plus de sueur est produite.
