CE ÎNSEAMNĂ ACE ÎN ENGLEZĂ?

Un as este o carte de joc. În pachetul standard francez, un ace are un simbol de costum unic situat în mijlocul cărții, uneori mare și decorat, mai ales în cazul Asului de Spade. Această înfrumusețare pe Asul Spadelor a început atunci când regele James al VI-lea al Scoției și eu al Angliei au cerut insignei tipografiei care urma să fie tipărită pe Ace of Spades. Această insignă a fost necesară pentru identificarea tipografiei și pentru ștampilarea acesteia ca fiind plătită noua taxă. Deși această cerință a fost eliminată în 1960, tradiția a fost păstrată de mulți producători de carduri. Cuvântul "as" provine din cuvântul francez vechi "ca", care înseamnă "o unitate", din numele unei mici monede romane. Inițial a însemnat partea zarurilor cu o singură notă, înainte de a fi un termen pentru o carte de joc. Deoarece aceasta a fost cea mai joasa rola a morului, inseamna in mod traditional "ghinion" in limba engleza medie, insa deoarece asul este adesea cea mai mare carte de joc, sensul ei sa schimbat de atunci inseamna "excelenta de inalta calitate". Această conotație a văzut cuvântul aplicat unui servitor de tenis neatins, un pilot pilot de succes și, în general, o persoană cu experiență în domeniul lor, mai ales un domeniu sportiv.
Definiția ace în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definitie a asului in dicționar este orice mor, domino sau oricare dintre cele patru cărți de joc cu un singur loc. O altă definiție a asului este un singur loc sau pip pe un card de joc, muri, etc. Ace este, de asemenea, un servitor câștigător pe care adversarul nu reușește să-l atingă.
