Conformitate
Conformitatea este actul de potrivire a atitudinilor, convingerilor și comportamentelor cu normele de grup. Normele sunt implicite, reguli neobișnuite, împărtășite de un grup de indivizi care îi ghidează interacțiunile cu ceilalți. Această tendință de a se conforma are loc în grupuri mici și / sau în societate în ansamblu și poate rezulta din influențe subtile inconștiente sau din presiune socială directă și evidentă. Conformitatea poate apărea în prezența altora sau atunci când o persoană este singură. De exemplu, oamenii tind să respecte normele sociale atunci când mănâncă sau urmăresc televiziunea, chiar și atunci când sunt singuri.
