O erecție este un fenomen fiziologic al organelor genitale de sex masculin ale multor specii, în care penisul devine mai ferm, înghițit și mărit. Erecția penisului este rezultatul unei interacțiuni complexe a factorilor psihologici, neuronali, vasculare și endocrini și este adesea asociată cu excitare sexuală sau cu atracție sexuală, deși erecțiile pot fi, de asemenea, spontane. Forma, unghiul și direcția unei erecții variază considerabil la om.
