Primul locotenent este un ofițer militar comandant în multe forțe armate și, în unele forțe, o întâlnire. Rangul locotenentului are înțelesuri diferite în diferite formațiuni militare, însă în majoritatea cazurilor este comun ca acesta să fie subdivizat într-un rang superior și inferior.
