Percepție extrasenzorială
Percepția extrasenzorială sau ESP includ recepția informațiilor care nu au fost obținute prin simțurile fizice recunoscute, dar simțite cu mintea. Termenul a fost adoptat de psihologul Duke University J. Rin pentru a desemna abilități psihice, cum ar fi telepatia, clairaudiența și clarviziunea, precum și funcționarea lor trans-temporală ca precogenie sau retrocedare. ESP este, de asemenea, uneori numit al șaselea simț. Termenul implică obținerea de informații prin mijloace externe ipotezelor de bază limitate ale științei, cum ar fi faptul că organismele nu pot primi decât informații din trecut până în prezent. Parapsihologia este studiul fenomenelor psihice paranormale, inclusiv ESP.
