Clasa superioară în societățile moderne este clasa socială compusă din cei mai bogați membri ai societății, care dețin și cea mai mare putere politică. Potrivit acestui punct de vedere, clasa superioară este în general cuprinsă în cel mai bogat 1-2% din populație și se deosebește de bogăția imensă care este transmisă din generație în generație.
