Scholarship

Beca

A scholarship is a periodic contribution that is granted to those students or researchers for the purpose of carrying out their studies or research. It is done for those people who can not afford the value of the study or research, normally the scholarship is sponsored. The economic contributions can come from official organizations or from private organizations, whether banks and savings banks, foundations, companies, etc. Scholarships may be general, for ordinary studies, or may belong to specific programs, for exchanges abroad, or between different universities within the same country, such as the Seneca scholarships to finance the mobility of students within the SICUE program or Between various European countries, for business training, etc. Scholarships for internships have proliferated in recent years, largely replacing other types of contracts that would require better working conditions and higher salaries, thus giving rise to the figure of the fellow.
