Multivibrator
Un multivibrator este un circuit electronic utilizat pentru a implementa o varietate de sisteme simple de două stări, cum ar fi oscilatoare, cronometre și flip-flops. Se caracterizează prin două dispozitive de amplificare încrucișate cu rezistențe sau condensatoare. Numele "multivibrator" a fost inițial aplicat versiunii oscilatoare libere de funcționare a circuitului deoarece forma sa de undă de ieșire era bogată în armonici. Există trei tipuri de circuite multivibrator, în funcție de funcționarea circuitelor: ▪ astabil, în care circuitul nu este stabil în nici una dintre stări - continuu trece de la o stare la alta. Un impuls de declanșare determină intrarea circuitului în starea instabilă. După intrarea în starea instabilă, circuitul va reveni la starea stabilă după o perioadă de timp stabilită. Un astfel de circuit este util pentru crearea unei perioade de timp cu durată fixă ca răspuns la un eveniment extern. Acest circuit este, de asemenea, cunoscut ca o singură lovitură. ▪ bistabil, în care circuitul este stabil în oricare dintre stări. Acesta poate fi rotit dintr-o stare în alta printr-un impuls extern de declanșare.
