La nature
La nature, dans le sens le plus large, équivaut au monde ou à l'univers naturel, physique ou matériel. La «nature» se réfère aux phénomènes du monde physique et à la vie en général. Il varie en échelle, du subatomique au cosmique. Le mot nature est dérivé du mot latin natura, ou "qualités essentielles, disposition innée", et dans les temps anciens, signifiait littéralement "naissance". Natura était une traduction latine du mot grec physis, qui portait initialement sur les caractéristiques intrinsèques que les végétaux, les animaux et les autres caractéristiques du monde se développent de leur propre gré.
