În geografie, o câmpie este o regiune plat. Câmpiile se întâlnesc în zonele joase și la fundul văilor, dar și pe platouri sau în zonele înalte. Într-o vale, o câmpie este închisă pe două laturi, dar în alte cazuri o câmpie poate fi delimitată de un inel complet sau parțial de dealuri, de munți sau stânci. Atunci când o regiune geologică conține mai multe câmpuri, acestea pot fi conectate printr-o trecere. Câmpiile pot fi formate din lavă care curge, depozitate de apă, vânt rece de gheață sau formată prin eroziunea acestor agenți de pe dealuri și munți. Câmpiile în multe zone sunt importante pentru agricultură, deoarece în cazul în care solurile au fost depozitate ca sedimente, ele pot fi profunde și fertile, iar planeitatea facilitează mecanizarea producției vegetale; sau pentru că susțin pajiștile care asigură pășunatul bun pentru animale.
