Polyphony
Polyphony is a kind of polyphony in which individual melodies or groups of melodies have independent significance and independent intonational-rhythmic development, maintaining the equality of voices and inconsistencies in different voices of cadences, caesures, climaxes, accents, etc. Polyphony is divided into types: ▪ Podochkovaya polyphony, in which, along with the main melody, her podcasts, that is, her variants, sound. ▪ Simulation polyphony in which the main theme sounds first in one voice, and then, possibly with changes, appears in other voices. A form in which the subject is repeated without changes is called a canon.
