Ouverture
En optique, une ouverture est un trou ou une ouverture à travers laquelle la lumière se déplace. Plus précisément, l'ouverture d'un système optique est l'ouverture qui détermine l'angle de cône d'un faisceau de rayons qui se focalisent dans le plan de l'image. L'ouverture détermine la manière dont les rayons admis sont collimatés, ce qui revêt une grande importance pour l'apparition au niveau de l'image. Si une ouverture est étroite, les rayons hautement collimatés sont admis, ce qui entraîne une nette focalisation sur le plan de l'image. Si une ouverture est large, les rayons non décollés sont admis, ce qui donne un accent précis uniquement pour les rayons avec une certaine distance focale. Cela signifie qu'une large ouverture entraîne une image qui est pointilleuse autour de laquelle l'objectif se concentre et est floue autrement. L'ouverture détermine également le nombre de rayons entrants admis et donc la quantité de lumière atteinte par le plan de l'image. Dans l'œil humain, la pupille est l'ouverture. Un système optique a généralement de nombreuses ouvertures, ou des structures qui limitent les faisceaux de rayons.
