Armura sau armura sunt o acoperire protectoare care este folosită pentru a preveni deteriorarea unui obiect, individual sau vehicul prin arme sau proiectile de contact direct, de obicei în timpul luptei sau de la daunele provocate de un mediu sau o acțiune potențial periculoasă. Armura personală este folosită pentru a proteja soldații și animalele de război, cum ar fi caii de război. Armura vehiculelor este folosită pe nave de război și vehicule blindate de luptă.
Definiția armour în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a armurii în dicționar este orice acoperire defensivă, mai ales cea de metal, lanțul de poștă etc., purtat de războinicii medievali pentru a preveni rănirea corpului în luptă. Alte definiții ale armurii sunt plăcile metalice de protecție ale unui tanc, ale unei nave de război etc. Armura este, de asemenea, vehicule blindate de luptă în general; unități militare echipate cu acestea.
