Obscenitate
O obscenitate este orice afirmație sau act care violează ferm moralitatea predominantă a timpului. Este derivat din latina obscaena, un cognate al scrierii rădăcinilor grecești antice, deoarece un conținut potențial ofensator, cum ar fi uciderea sau sexul, a fost descris în scenă în drama clasică. Cuvântul poate fi folosit pentru a indica o repulsie morală puternică, în expresii precum "profiturile obscene" sau "obscenitatea războiului".
