Nice este un oraș francez, situat în departamentul francez al Alpes-Maritimes și în regiunea Provence-Alpi-Coasta de Azur. Nisa are 344.890 de locuitori, iar zona metropolitană are aproximativ 1 milion de locuitori. După Congresul de la Viena, sa întors pentru a face parte din împărăția Sardiniei, una dintre cele care au format Italia modernă. A fost "anexată" Franței în 1860, prin Tratatul de la Villafranca. Unele semne indică, pe lângă formularul francez Nisa, formularul Nissa Provencal. Originea numelui provine din Nikaia greacă - victorioasă - iar versiunea latină este Nicæa.

Nice conta com 344.890 habitantes e sua área metropolitana tem cerca de 1 milhão de habitantes. Depois do Congresso de Viena, voltou a fazer parte do reino da Sardenha, um dos que formaram a Itália moderna. Foi "anexada" à França em 1860, por meio do tratado de Villafranca. Algumas placas indicam, além da forma francesa Nice, a forma provençal Nissa. A origem do nome vem do grego Nikaia - vitoriosa - e a versão latina é Nicæa.
