Burlesque
Le Burlesque est une œuvre littéraire, dramatique ou musicale destinée à provoquer des rires en caricaturant la manière ou l'esprit des travaux sérieux, ou par un traitement ridicule de leurs sujets. Le mot dérive du burlesco italien, qui, à son tour, provient de la burla italienne: une blague, un ridicule ou une moquerie. Burlesque chevauche le sens de la caricature, de la parodie et de la parodie et, dans son sens théâtral, avec une extravagance, présentée à l'époque victorienne. Le «Burlesque» a été utilisé en anglais dans ce sens littéraire et théâtral depuis la fin du 17ème siècle.
