Bastion
O bastion este o structură unghiulară care iese în afară din peretele cortinei unei fortificații de artilerie. Bastionul complet dezvoltat constă din două fețe și două flancuri cu foc din flancuri, care pot proteja peretele cortinei și, de asemenea, bastioanele adiacente.
