Fiasco

Fiasco is the latest science fiction work by Polish author Stanisław Lem. It is a novel written in 1986 and published in 1987. At the time when he left Poland for martial law, Lem wrote this work by order of the German publisher S. Fischer. Later, the author would say that this was the only time he accepted a commission from a publisher and an advance for something he had not yet written. In Spain, it was published in Catalan by Laia in 1988 and in Castilian by Alianza Editorial in 1991. In this work, the reader is before a novel of cult for the majority of the fans to the work of Lem. Fiasco is considered the masterpiece of a master, synthesis of much of his thinking.
